Serge, widely known as The Sight Fly Fishing Expert, has been a proud member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association (NZPFGA) for the past 22 years.

An accomplished fly fisherman with more than 40 years of international experience, he has developed his expertise through extensive travel, countless hours on rivers around the world, and a lifelong commitment to understanding trout behaviour, spawning patterns, fly design, rods, lines, and changing river conditions.

His passion for fly fishing has taken him to some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, ultimately leading him to settle in Aotearoa New Zealand, where he continues to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with anglers from around the globe.

Based in the alpine village of Hanmer Springs in North Canterbury, Serge has an exceptional understanding of New Zealand’s rivers, lakes, weather patterns, water flows, and natural environment. This knowledge allows him to carefully plan every fishing adventure to maximise your chances of success while ensuring an unforgettable outdoor experience.

Specialising in sight fishing, Serge guides anglers in the pursuit of trophy brown and rainbow trout across more than 40 rivers, all accessible within a 90-minute drive. Travel is provided in a comfortable and well-maintained 4WD vehicle, allowing you to reach some of the region’s finest fishing waters with ease.

Whether you are looking for a single day on the water or a fully customised multi-day expedition of up to 15 days, Serge will create an experience tailored to your interests, abilities, and goals. Every trip is designed to be enjoyable, rewarding, and filled with lasting memories.
